It is already known that PAC attaches great importance to sustainability in addition to quality, design and functionality. With Ocean Upcycling, PAC is now going one step further. The German manufacturer starts a cooperation with Seaqual™ and supports the project Upcycling The Ocean: Year after year millions of tons of garbage end up in the ocean and contaminate the habitat of many animals and plants. Seaqual now ensures that this plastic waste from the sea becomes something new: The Spanish company works with fishermen who agree not to dump plastic from their by-catch back into the sea, but to bring it ashore. There it is then sorted and recycled. The collected plastic is then turned into Seaqual™: High-quality, environmentally friendly polyester fibres from marine waste, 100 % recycled - with the same properties as regular polyester fibres, but with a smaller ecological footprint.
