Operation Pocket filter

The Pocket pumps quickly, is relatively lightweight, easy to use and ensures that the water tastes delicious. The improved, round pump handle ensures better ergonomics and the outlet hose can be attached to water containers with a simple clip. The operation is simple. Hang the hose with suction cup in the water, then pump and you have filtered water. The hose is equipped with a pre-filter, for filtering the largest contaminants and a float. Thanks to the float, the suction nozzle remains at an ideal depth. Not too deep, because then you will suffer from mud, but also not directly on the water surface where most bacteria are located.

Katadyn Pocket filter

The filter purifies approximately 1 liter of water per minute and removes bacteria, protozoa and other pathogens. The microorganisms cannot pass through the pores of the filter (0.2 microns) due to their size. The 0.2 micron filter element can be used up to approximately 55,000 liters. This is an enormous amount compared to other water filters. The included measuring gauge indicates when the filter element needs to be replaced.

The Pocket can be packed down to a manageable size. It is not the smallest filter available, but with a size of 24 x 6 cm and a weight of only 550 grams it easily slides into a daypack or backpack.
